Ever arrived at the cashier and forgot your wallet, you’ve got no cash or your hands are full? Well, never fear, Google Hands Free is here! Hands Free is a new app from Google that allows you to make in-store payments without ever reaching for your phone or wallet. Provided you have your phone nearby simply tell the cashier “I’ll pay with Google”. The cashier confirms your identity, using your initials and the photo you added to your Hands Free profile which comes up on their screen. When you make a purchase, your full card details will not be shared with stores. Once you complete a purchase, you’ll receive an instant notification right on your phone. Easy! At this stage it’s only available and on trial in the US at a few places in South Bay.
