A researcher from the University of California has developed a temporary tattoo that can measure blood sugar levels. This will come as a welcome relief from diabetics who often have to use more painful and inconvenient methods. In its current form the capabilities of this technology is limited but work is progressing with Bluetooth technology and also tattoos that can measure other levels.
Temporary tattoos go digital!
Our take
This is another step forward in connected medicine that has been part of a lot of discussion since inception of wearables. Having constant access to all of this data on a device, like a mobile, provides many great benefits for the users – for example your levels connected to an app may be able to alert you about health issues before they become a concern and then connecting that information to your doctor.
