Pandora partners with Woolworths

Pandora Internet Radio partnered with Woolworths, enabling the retail giant to stream curated, exclusive Pandora stations in over 970 supermarkets across Australia. Woolworths Radio, powered by Pandora, will provide a bespoke, predominantly Australian focused, selection of music for customers to enjoy in store. Audio only advertising can be utilised by FMCG brands to deliver offers and time sensitive messages to customers in store.

Our take

What’s particularly interesting about this partnership is the potential to personalise stations to complement specific stores. As Pandora has access to an abundance of user data, they are able to identify what music is trending in certain locations. Therefore, as the partnership progresses, Pandora will tailor each radio station to feature more of the artists and genres that are popular in various suburbs. With this, arises opportunities for advertisers to devise dynamic creative, relevant to specific consumers.
