Bringing the in-store experience to your door


Three weeks ago ‘Sprint’, a US Telco, launched ‘Direct2You’, the first device delivery and personal set-up service. They identified the urgency felt by connected consumers for quick replacement phones and tablets, so they have offered to deliver your new one to your home, office, or wherever is most convenient. However it’s more than just a phone delivery, they send out a Sprint expert who will transfer all of the content, including contacts, pictures, videos and apps from the old phone to the new one. They will get things set up just the way the customer wants and they will offer tips or even provide a tutorial so they are comfortable using it.

Our take

This initiative is another example of ‘The Everything Expectation’ trend. Brands that can identify the pain-points for their customers and create simple solutions to combat them will separate themselves from the pack. Creating a dynamic shopping journey such as this which brings the in-store personalized experience to you is truly putting the customer first.
