Recent UK research conducted by Barclays found that consumer spending via mobile will quadruple in the next decade. While only 3% describe themselves as “…at the cutting-edge” in being mobile ready, Barclays has identified a willingness for UK retailers to embrace this trend. But the launch of new mobile devices, like Apple watch, could further put some retailers behind.

This is low hanging fruit, for today (and for tomorrow), you must think mobile first. Your website needs to deliver the optimum experience to your customer, no matter what device they are on. Also, consider how else you can add value – while out & about the majority of customers are looking for “…free hotspots”. Invest in this area and increase the dwell time offline & in-store and collect the dividend.
