In the US, Tesla has upgraded the software of its model S to alert consumers that their current course will take them out of charging station range. Utilising multiple variables the software will take into account course, traffic, wind resistance and elevation changes to warn drivers of battery drain issues. A message sent to your mobile will then alert you when the car is charged enough to continue on your next leg.
