RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assists the Digital Manager in creating, building and manage Lexus’s Search campaigns – across Lexus.com.au and Lexus’s Dealer websites
  • Input into and the implementation of Lexus Australia’s National and Dealer SEM strategies and management of the campaigns
  • Day to day management of media team at Lexus in conjunction with Digital Manager
  • Day to day contact with digital agency to ensure continual alignment and collaboration between the TMS & the digital agency

KEY ROLES OF THE SEARCH PLANNER:

  • Implements keywords, ad copy and bid strategies into SA360 – reflecting the endorsed National and Dealer SEM strategies
  • Assists the Digital Manager with ongoing reporting – with support from the Digital Executive and Search Executive
  • Runs the live dashboards day to day and ensures they are fit for purposes (internal use and Client)
  • Pulls together monthly SEM reports with Digital Manager and support from Digital Executive and Search Executive
  • Pulls together quarterly SEM reports with Digital Manager and support from Digital Executive and Search Executive
  • Reviews keyword lists and ad copy to ensure all text ads are up to date, relevant and follow Lexus’ legal guidelines”
  • Optimises Lexus National and Dealer accounts to show continual improvement against campaign goals
  • Manages SEM campaigns through execution and to Lexus’s expectations
  • Ensures work is delivered on time and to The Media Store’s high standard
  • In relevant meetings, take notes and distribute minutes relating the project/s being discussed
  • Supports the broader digital team in training and educating agency staff and new department employees
  • Loads campaign spend as per TMS’s internal finance processes – these must be followed!
  • Assists from a search perspective on broader digital projects such as attribution modelling and new technology implementation

In three months:

  • To understand Lexus’s existing SEM strategies and how to deliver a high standard of output to Lexus Australia everyday.  We live and breathe our Clients.
  • To implement and take on the running of Lexus’s SEM strategies with support from Search Executive – to measure, monitor and optimise their campaigns with oversight from the Digital Manager and support from the Lexus team’s digital media executive
  • To collaboratively report on Lexus’s SEM campaigns with oversight from the Digital Manager
  • To meet with all teams in the agency and understand their roles and the part they play in servicing our Clients

In six months:

  • To fully understand how the broader Lexus Team engages with Lexus Australia everyday to deliver campaigns whilst delivering longer term strategic thinking
  • To be confidently running Lexus’s SEM campaigns
  • To have created and fostered a strong working relationship with digital Publishers alongside the Digital Manager
  • To apply SEM learnings to date to  continually improve Lexus’s campaigns
  • To fully understand the digital campaign process from briefing to live by working closely with the executives and manager in the team

In 12 months:

  • Have a thorough understanding of Lexus’s business and how SEM supports the achievement of Lexus’s media and business objectives
  • To work alongside the Lexus Business Director and Digital Manager to deliver an annual SEM strategy
  • To potentially expand the role to working on other Clients within TMS
  • Own client reporting and can make optimisation recommendations for future campaigns.

 

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Demonstrate an interest in and appetite for digital media at large – not just Search
  • Have solid experience with SA360 and AdWords – ideally 2-3yrs experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products – particularly Excel
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Be self-disciplined
  • Communicate effectively to manage expectations and elevate challenges to ensure they are dealt with quickly
  • Follow process but also be able to suggest improvements to the existing process as we are always open to learning how to improve process
  • Demonstrate initiative to help the broader team – from proactively helping the team set up for meetings to offering to help if a fellow team member is experiencing a heavy workload
